Founded by Rose Oliver, director of “Double Dragon Alliance Cultural Centre” and in association with our parent company “Shanghai’s Yong He Tang Art and Culture Centre”.

Rose has over eight years experience of working as a “foreign expert” for two of Shanghai’s top universities’ foreign language departments, in addition to the British Consulate’s Cultural and Education Section, where she has been instrumental in pioneering some of the British Council’s educational projects in China, as well as acting as a consultant for several new projects.
During this time, she’s made many connections in both the art, cultural and educational fields.

Having got to know the culture of her adopted home, Rose has become expert at understanding the intricacies of mysteries of Chinese culture as well as understanding the different thought processes and business approaches of Chinese people.
As a consultant for the British Council, and through her own business (the Double Dragon Alliance Cultural Centre) she has cooperated with the British Council for several years, introducing new elements to their cultural and educational projects for Chinese and UK guests and schools and helped sort out cultural differences between both sides of the projects, smoothing over potential conflicts and misunderstandings and keeping the relationships, both business and personal, on track.

A veteran of eight years of teaching at Shanghai University and Shanghai’s University for Science and Technology, Rose has devised an English teaching curriculum, which has become a part of the established Oral English teaching course.
With her own company, a cultural centre dedicated to establishing cultural and educational links, social and business networking, research and a social forum for communication and friendship; Rose is uniquely placed as an expert in the way Chinese culture weaves its way into the everyday life and dealings of ordinary people. Invaluable in being able to come and live or work in China and integrate oneself into Chinese society and its business world.
